Trey was born healthy and happy, but in May 2018 at the age of six, he became seriously ill. An echocardiogram made it certain: Trey suffered from heart failure. As medical therapies couldn‘t help, biventricular circulatory support with EXCOR® pediatric was the only possibility to keep him alive while waiting for a heart transplant. On the EXCOR® Trey regained his strength and finally, after 120 days on the device, he was successfully transplanted. We wish Trey all the best and keep our fingers crossed for his continued recovery and good health.
